Timon is a boy, born on 16 July 2026, so he is now 13 weeks old. His mother Ellody is a Selkirk Rex Shorthair with a short coat in tortie colours with white, and his father Ninjago is a British Shorthair, a breed that is allowed as an outcross for the Selkirk Rex. Both parents have an official pedigree. He is a Selkirk Rex Shorthair.

He has a solid red, warm orange coat. His short coat is curly, like a Selkirk Rex: he has one copy of the curl gene (heterozygous curly). This means he can have both curly and straight-coated kittens. He is also an odd eyes carrier (heterochromia): two different eye colours, for example one blue and one yellow or green eye. He can pass this on to his kittens. This is the recessive form of odd eyes, not the dominant form called DBE (dominant blue eye).

He is not neutered. He has had three vaccinations: twice against cat flu and feline panleukopenia, and at 12 weeks again against cat flu and feline panleukopenia plus rabies. He has also received a flea treatment that works for three months.

Both mother and father have tested negative for the viral diseases FeLV (feline leukaemia) and FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus).
