Onyx

Onyx is a Bengal male, born on 15 February 2019, so now 7 years old. He has an official pedigree and is an adult stud.

Onyx is a snow Bengal in the colour seal mink: a light, ivory to cream-coloured coat with clear, dark spots. He carries the glitter gene twice, which makes his coat shimmer in the light. All of his kittens inherit this glitter gene from him. He also carries the genes for dilute colours and for the marbled pattern, and can pass these on.

Onyx is not neutered. He has been vaccinated regularly over the years against cat flu and feline panleukopenia (cat distemper).

In April 2026 Onyx was examined with an extensive DNA test for 49 hereditary conditions, and he is clear of all 49. These include the two eye diseases and the blood disease most common in Bengals. The same test shows that he has blood type A, the most common blood type in cats. In May 2026 he had a heart ultrasound (echocardiogram), which showed no sign of the hereditary heart disease HCM. He has also tested negative for the viral diseases FeLV (feline leukaemia) and FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus); that test was done in July 2021.

Price as a stud (with TICA pedigree): €12000. The buyer receives all necessary breeding documents: the health test results of both parents and any tests done on the cat itself.
