Ellody is a Selkirk Rex Shorthair female, born on 1 June 2023, so now 3 years old. She has an official pedigree and is an adult breeding queen who has had three litters. Her most recent litter was born on 16 July 2026, sired by Ninjago. Her mother is a Selkirk Rex and her father is a British Shorthair, a breed that is allowed to be used with the Selkirk Rex.

Ellody is a tortie (torbie) with white: a brown (black) classic tabby pattern with red patches, plus white. She has a short, curly coat. Because her father has a smooth coat, she carries the curl gene once. This means she can have both curly and smooth kittens. She is a very good mother and the kittens are more than 100 gram at the moment of birth (pictures of her last litter are added in the photo gallery).

Ellody is a confirmed carrier of odd eyes (heterochromia): two different eye colours. One of her sons has odd eyes, and that is only possible if she carries this trait (this kitten is shown in the photo gallery). This is the recessive form of odd eyes (heterochromia), not the dominant form called DBE (dominant blue eye). She also carries the genes for long hair, for dilute colours, for the colour chocolate and for solid colours without a tabby pattern, and can pass these on to her kittens. This is evident from her pedigree and from the colours and coat lengths of the kittens she has already had.

Ellody is not spayed. She was fully vaccinated as a kitten against cat flu and feline panleukopenia (cat distemper), and she has been vaccinated again as an adult cat.

In May 2026 Ellody tested negative for the viral diseases FeLV (feline leukaemia) and FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus). In the same month her blood was checked for heart and kidney values: the heart value showed no sign of heart disease, and her kidney value was normal. Her mother and father have also both tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Price as a breeding queen (with TICA pedigree): €1800. The buyer receives all necessary breeding documents: the health test results of both parents and any tests done on the cat itself.
