Levi

Levi is a little boy, born on 23 May 2026, so now about 20 weeks (almost five months) old. His mother Ezra and his father Punk are both Selkirk Rex, so Levi is a Selkirk Rex. Both parents have an official pedigree. He is a Selkirk Rex Longhair.

Levi is lilac with white: a soft grey colour with a pinkish sheen, with white areas. Lilac is the dilute form of chocolate, and Levi carries the gene for chocolate twice. His semi-long coat is curly, like a Selkirk Rex. A DNA test shows that he has two curl genes (homozygous curl), so all of his kittens will have curls. He will probably have green eyes. He may also carry the gene for odd eyes (heterochromia): two different eye colours. The chance of this is 50%. This is the recessive form of odd eyes, not the dominant form called DBE (dominant blue eye).

Levi is not neutered. He has had three vaccinations: two against cat flu and feline panleukopenia (cat distemper), and at 12 weeks another one against cat flu and feline panleukopenia (cat distemper) plus rabies. He has also had a flea treatment that protects for three months.

His parents have been DNA-tested for hereditary diseases: his father for 38 conditions and his mother for 28. His father is clear of all of them. His mother is also clear, except that she is a carrier of one condition: a congenital thyroid problem (congenital hypothyroidism). A carrier does not become ill from it herself. Mother and father have both tested negative for the viral diseases FeLV (feline leukaemia) and FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus). Both have also had a heart ultrasound (echocardiogram) and a kidney ultrasound, which showed no sign of the hereditary heart disease HCM or of polycystic kidney disease (PKD).

Price as a stud (with TICA pedigree): €4500. The buyer receives all necessary breeding documents: the health test results of both parents and any tests done on the cat itself.
