Description
Mickey
Mickey is a little boy, born on 15 July 2026, so now about 13 weeks old. His mother Mina is a silver Bengal and his father Bobbie is a Selkirk Rex, so Mickey is a cross between these two breeds. Both parents have an official pedigree.
He has a brown spotted tabby coat, like a Bengal. His coat is smooth, not curly like some of his brothers and sisters. He will probably have green eyes.
Mickey is neutered and is therefore sold as a pet, not for breeding. He has had three vaccinations: two against cat flu and feline panleukopenia (cat distemper), and at 12 weeks another one against cat flu and feline panleukopenia (cat distemper) plus rabies. He has also had a flea treatment that protects for three months.
His parents have been DNA-tested for more than forty hereditary diseases. For Mickey, all of these are recorded as clear, including the two eye diseases and the blood disease most common in Bengals. Both parents have been tested for the viral diseases FeLV (feline leukaemia) and FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) and were negative for both. His father also had a heart ultrasound (echocardiogram) in May 2026, which showed no sign of the hereditary heart disease HCM.
This kitten’s father is our Selkirk Rex stud Bobbie (Selkirk King Bobbie). You can read more about him, his DNA tests and his health tests in our blog post about Bobbie.
