Description
Minnie
Minnie is a little girl, born on 15 July 2026, so now about 13 weeks old. Her mother Mina is a silver Bengal and her father Bobbie is a Selkirk Rex, so Minnie is a cross between these two breeds. Both parents have an official pedigree.
She has a brown spotted tabby coat, like a Bengal, and that coat is curly, like a Selkirk Rex. She inherited one curl gene from her father. She will probably have green eyes.
Minnie has had three vaccinations: two against cat flu and feline panleukopenia (cat distemper), and at 12 weeks another one against cat flu and feline panleukopenia (cat distemper) plus rabies. She has also had a flea treatment that protects for three months.
Her parents have been DNA-tested for more than forty hereditary diseases. For Minnie, all of these are recorded as clear, including the two eye diseases and the blood disease most common in Bengals. Both parents have been tested for the viral diseases FeLV (feline leukaemia) and FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) and were negative for both. Her father also had a heart ultrasound (echocardiogram) in May 2026, which showed no sign of the hereditary heart disease HCM.
This kitten’s father is our Selkirk Rex stud Bobbie (Selkirk King Bobbie). You can read more about him, his DNA tests and his health tests in our blog post about Bobbie.
